The Metro Mass Transport Company has returned to Chereponi District on the 9th January,2025 for full operation, to ensure easy and affordable fare for people traveling from Chereponi and it's envirorns to Tamale.
It's about 4-5 years the Metro Buses terminated their services to the good of chereponi and some other Districts in the Northern Regions, for which reasons that could be, were not known.
Sharing their joy and happiness with the media upon the arrival of the Metro Bus, residents explained that, it's a sign of recovery for Chereponi, the hardships and economics stagnation in the country. Some jubilants indicated that, the MP for Chereponi, Hon. Seidu Alajor and NDC government is poised to rescue the people from poor roads, lack of employment for the youth, portable drinking water and among other essential social amenities.
"We can't afford paying Gh75.00 fare from Chereponi to Tamale, in and out is Gh150.00 so now Metro Bus is back,we can now travel for business" residents explained.
"All indications show that, the efforts of our New MP is in good course and we hope and pray for more from the new NDC government led by His exellency John Dramani Mahama"another person reiterated
According to some NDC supporters, the new MP ,Hon. Alajor is committed to deliver his promises in the areas of transportation,jobs, peace, to transform the lives of the people of chereponi, they cited some significant contribution made by Hon MP and that paved the way to defeat the former Mp,Hon Tahidu Abdul-Razak.
The residents are calling for actions from their MP in the coming years to ensure development in the area.
