Dear NDC Parliamentarians,
As I continue to congratulate and salute you on your 'KWEN KWEN' victory in the just ended general elections which many have given different interpretations and descriptions for, and 'conjuring' many words and phrases to name the overwhelming nature of the victory, I take a few of them to be uplifting and at the same time scary.
Talk of Super Majority, Supreme Leader, Two-third majority, micro minority (trolling the NPP) and many more to come.
The funniest (if you are not heart broken as NPP sympathizer) surfaced one that widely exposes the true color of the teeth in darkness no matter the dentition of whoever expresses it, is 'Micrority in Parliament'.
Interestingly as some may wonder, some of us see it as a victory for Ghana and the expression of collective statement of direction an ordinary Ghanaian wishes to unapologetically emphasize.
The era of deceit, propaganda, spins has been declared redundant.
EYES that saw will continue to SEE.
EARS that heard will continue to HEAR.
BODIES that felt will continue to FEEL,
For the people are no longer fools.
Note that the NPP members of parliament (MPs) and the independent MPs are not your enemies, neither do their supporters in their respective constituencies are your enemy.
All the 276 MPs remain Ghana's property as long as they continue to dwell in the Parliamentary chamber representing all Ghanaians.
You already know this but the gravitational force surrounding your heavy two-third majority may have the tendency to negate that realization.
That not withstanding, I strongly caution you the NDC MPs to continue your vigilance and be security conscious for,
Wherever there is addition, you can find subtraction.
Never forget there is something called by-elections. As you may be already aware, history has proven that most by-elections of Ghana are birthed not from resignation nor vote of no confidence constitutionally. It has always been DEATH, when dual citizenship nondisclosures are exempted.
I urge you all to sit back and reflect on the many causes of death of MPs queitly and advise yourselves.
For in your crucial 4-year reign, DO NOT accept any GIFT in kind or cash even if is not conflicting. This include Christmas and New Year's hampers.
Your spouses, children and close relatives and friends must equally stay away from accepting gifts for the next 4 years if you do not want to be part of a statistics.
After all your honorable offices are public offices, and your gifts if I am not mistaken must be accounted for.
You may give out gifts genuinely but never accept anything in return, for your majority is not unbreakable.
Remember that anything micro, as your General Mosquito describes the NPP caucus, can unleash a dangerous irreparable damage to your so called 'supreme' number and legislative strength.
If you care to relate to anything, just find out why there is the study of microbiology and remember you are all living things too.
If you cannot be scared of anything, please be scared of some 'microbes'.
I will also plead with you to check on traditional rulers periodically, for they immensely contributed to your victory directly and indirectly. All of you know that fact. Do not only spend time with the Clergy.
The traditional rulers, especially the ones who openly supported your party's bid at the expense of their chieftaincy titles. must be protect very well, for some of them have become enemies of many. This is simply because they helped change some narratives.
My final advice or suggestion to all of you NDC MPs is simple.
Whenever you forget why Ghanaians sent you to that chamber with that numeric strength, just go back to listen and watch your melodious NACEE songs and videos respectively, titled KWEN KWEN and 24-HOUR ECONOMY.
Else the faces of those characters in the videos will come after you very badly!
I rest my PEN.
Yours truly,
Mustapha Alhassan.
