After John Mahama emerged victorious in the presidential election on December 7, 2024, thousands of unemployed youth, individuals who lost their businesses and investments, and victims of the economy's collapse are slowly beginning to feel hopeful. The overwhelming victory made the opposition happy and made the ruling administration uneasy, hesitant, and afraid. As a result, they have plans to continue using clandestine electoral operations to threaten Ghana’s democracy.
Since Charlotte Osei was wrongfully accused and removed from office, Ghana's democracy has been in constant pain and danger because the NPP is more concerned with maintaining its party than with the welfare of the populace, and more significantly, Jean Mensa, the head of the Electoral Commission, is a full member of the NPP. However, if the current government hasn’t learned any experience from the Assin North events and the NPP's defeat on December 7, then the NPP is a bunch of morons.
I have repeatedly stated that no one who follows or supports Akufo Addo will boast about his achievements. Akufo Addo's lack of a proper education means that he lacks the mental capacity to solve problems or succeed diplomatically. I can't think of any concrete reason why Jean Mensa would be so stupid as to ignore the fact that listening to the despot Akufo Addo puts her family in grave danger, as everything in the president's worldview is corruption and criminality.
Since Jean Mensa has refused to admit that the majority of Ghanaians now strongly support John Mahama, due to NPP’s widespread corruption and incompetence that have destroyed the country's once-thriving economy, businesses, and investments, her electoral crimes are not just against the opposition but against all Ghanaians. She is unable to see far ahead and realize that Ghanaians are a threat to her and her family, but not the NPP politicians.
The millions of votes that pushed the NPP into the opposition didn’t come from the NDC politicians but from the majority of Ghanaians who have been mistreated by Jean Mensa and her party's arrogance and who have become victims of constitutional violations, pervasive corruption, and economic collapse. Jean Mensa needs to realize that most Ghanaians have lost interest in the NPP since they have destroyed their companies through “Agyapadie” and killed their families, particularly the pensioners.
Therefore, whatever crimes Jean Mensa is committing are not only against the NDC but also against the majority of Ghanaians. Despite the fact that Ghanaians are not violent, Akufo Addo has occasionally used violence against them, and the fact that they have tolerated the government’s crimes, arrogance, and nonsense for a very long time, they think the people are stupid and easy to convince. However, I will remind Akufo Addo and Jean Mensa that every man has a heart, and when it can’t take any longer, not even the army or armed police can withstand the fury of a vengeful mob.
Jean Mensa and Akufo Addo want to burn down Ghana, but I have to remind them that if that's what they want, they will also perish in it because it is not Ghanaians that set the fire. I shall use this opportunity to urge the army and police not to be used by the violent, corrupt, and despotic Akufo Addo and Jean Mensa. They should consider the trade and cordial relationship between the nation and foreign ambassadors who serve as representatives in our country to preserve and defend our democracy and national security.
I'll also make an appeal to both the military and the police that if the tyrant Akufo Addo is forcing them to murder Ghanaians to satisfy his greed and enormous appetite for corruption, they should turn the tables and murder him. After all, it's better to kill one violent, evil person who wants to burn down the entire country due to his desire to capture Ghana’s resources and financial institutions. More importantly, the new government needs to ensure that Jean Mensa is tried and imprisoned so she can rot there.
Ghana will undergo significant change, and the country will be bitter to many NPP politicians who have backed Akufo Addo and Jean Mensa, and those who have engaged in corruption, to the extent that many of them in prison would hope that death would come and take them away, but it will never come. If Mahama doesn't put those who have embezzled the country's money and endangered our democracy and security in jail, I doubt Ghanaians would forgive him or shouldn't bother to come in as a new government.
