
Millicent Yeboah Amankwa, the National Democratic Congress Parliamentary Candidate in the 2024 General Elections in the Sunyani West Constituency, has unseated Mr Ignatius Baffour-Awuah, the New Patriotic Party incumbent Member of Parliament for the area.
She secured 26,828 votes to beat Mr Baffour-Awuah, also the Minister of Employment and Labour Relations who obtained 19,715 votes in the parliamentary elections held at Odomase, the constituency capital of the Bono Region.
Mr Baffour-Awuah, has hitherto, occupied the Sunyani West constituency parliamentary seat for 16 years.
