Election 2024 is for the future — Ato Forson

The Member of Parliament for Ajumako Constituency, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, has described the December 7, 2024, elections as a critical moment for Ghana’s future.

“This is not an election about parties; we have suffered enough under this current government, a level of hardship never before seen in this country,” he emphasized during a graduation ceremony for 61 seamstresses.

Dr. Forson urged constituents to vote for him and the NDC’s flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, to rescue the nation from its economic struggles.

He commended the parents and trainers of the graduating seamstresses for their dedication and presented a cash donation of GHC 2,000 to their association. Each of the 61 graduates also received a sewing machine and GHC 1,000 as start-up support.

Speaking on behalf of the NPP’s parliamentary candidate for the constituency, Dr. Rashid Kwesi Ettuaful, his special aide, Mr. Peterson, highlighted Dr. Ettuaful’s contributions to the community despite not yet being an MP. These include financial support for traders, the provision of water to several communities, and the donation of over 80 vehicles to drivers through work-and-pay arrangements.

Acknowledging the contributions of Dr. Forson over the past 16 years, Mr. Peterson appealed to voters to consider giving Dr. Ettuaful a chance to serve for the next four years. He pledged that if elected, Dr. Ettuaful would provide graduating apprentices with containers to start their businesses. To support the seamstresses, he presented a cash donation of GHC 10,000 at the event.
