Where from this baseless anger? — John Boadu slams Alan for criticising Kufuor's endorsement of Bawumia

John Boadu, Director-General of the State Interests and Governance Authority (SIGA) and former General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has criticized Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, leader of the Movement for Change, over his remarks concerning former President John Agyekum Kufuor's endorsement of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

In a recent interview, former President Kufuor encouraged Ghanaians to support Dr. Bawumia, describing him as the most qualified candidate to lead Ghana.

“Considering the present global context, I genuinely believe that Ghana’s economy would witness substantial growth if Bawumia were elected as President.

“With divine guidance, he is more than capable of fulfilling this promise,” Kufuor said.

Alan Kyerematen, however, reacted sharply, expressing disappointment in Kufuor’s open endorsement, which he claimed tarnished the statesman’s political reputation.

“Kufuor is my uncle, and I hesitate to publicly criticize him. However, his endorsement has cast a significant shadow over his political career.

“Why would he choose to involve himself in partisan politics in this manner? His actions are regrettable,” Alan said during a media interview.

Reacting on Peace FM’s Kokrokoo morning show, John Boadu questioned the basis of Alan’s criticism, labeling it as unwarranted anger.

“What is the basis for all those tantrums?” Boadu asked, dismissing Alan’s remarks as baseless.

Boadu further questioned Alan’s expectations regarding Kufuor’s loyalty.

“Are you a member of our party? Are you with us? How do you expect Ex-President Kufuor, a staunch NPP member, to back you over Dr. Bawumia, who leads the party?”

John Boadu urged Alan to focus on his political ambitions without undermining others, particularly a respected figure like former President Kufuor.
