The Ghana Education Service (GES) has extended the deadline for the ongoing self-posting process for 2022 graduates from public Colleges of Education to August 30.
In a statement issued on August 22, 2024, the Management of GES announced that the initial deadline, which had earlier been extended to August 21, has been further pushed by an additional 9 days.
"This extension is intended to provide sufficient time for all applicants to complete the online self-posting process and submit their appointment letters,” reads part of the statement.
It added: "Applicants are encouraged to regularly check the GES website and official communication channels for updates and notifications. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.”
The extension comes as the GES seeks to streamline the recruitment and posting of the over 10,000 graduates from the Colleges of Education, who completed their various Bachelor of Education degree programmes in July 2022.
In July this year, the GES introduced an online self-posting module to allow the newly trained teachers to select and choose their preferred regions, districts and schools electronically via the GES promotions portal.
