The Atebubu-Amantin Municipal Assembly, the Municipal Security Committee and staff of the Judicial Service have attended the final funeral rites of the late Omanhene of the Atebubu traditional area Nana Owusu Akyeaw Brempong II in Atebubu.
The late Omanhene who ruled for 47 years died in 2020 and was interred in 2022.
The 3 day funeral which had Ohenpong Yeboah Asuamah I, Omanhene of the Atebubu traditional area and his elders sitting in state saw the display of rich traditional culture amidst pomp and pageantry.
The event which was graced by both President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and ex-President John Dramani Mahama also attracted traditional leaders from across the earthwhile Brong Ahafo region and beyond.
The team led by the Municipal Coordinating Director Mr. Joseph Tang donated an undisclosed amount of money to the traditional council in support of the funeral.
