Your leadership inspires me, others in Africa; I'm proud to have you as a mentor — Liberia's IGP to George Dampare

The Inspector General of the Liberian National Police, Hon. Gregory O. W. Coleman, has lauded the transformation of the Ghana Police Service under the leadership of Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, describing him as an inspiration to law enforcement leaders across Africa.

IGP Coleman commended Dr. Dampare for his exemplary leadership since assuming office, noting that his approach has become a model for his peers on the continent.

"Your leadership inspires me and many others on the continent. You’ve shown that one person can indeed make a difference despite the challenges they are confronted with.

“I’m proud to have you as a mentor and hope that we can impact society as much as you have done," Coleman praised Dr. Dampare during a visit to the Police headquarters in Accra on Monday.

Coleman also expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and lauded Dr. Dampare and his team for their success in making the Ghana Police Service a reference point for other countries in Africa and beyond.

He acknowledged the high reputation the Ghana Police Service has built for itself and expressed his eagerness to learn from their achievements as the Liberia National Police embarks on its transformation journey.

Dr. George Akuffo Dampare warmly welcomed the visiting team and reiterated his commitment to fostering cooperation and collaboration among the region's law enforcement agencies.

He emphasized the importance of sharing best practices in policing to enhance the effectiveness of law enforcement across the continent.
