Former Deputy Communications Minister Felix Ofosu Kwakye has said former President John Dramani Mahama does not need a debate to prove himself.
He said the former President has already proven himself worthy of leading the country based on his past achievements.
According to Kwakye, Mahama's capabilities are self-evident and do not require a presidential debate to demonstrate them.
This comes after the flagbearer for the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia, called on Mahama for a debate.
However, Kwakye believes that Mahama's recent press engagements have already showcased his leadership abilities, making a debate unnecessary.
Speaking to this reporter, Kwakye emphasized that Mahama's interactions with the press have been more insightful than any debate could be.
He argued that Mahama's leadership style is action-oriented with his track record speaking for itself.
"Former President Mahama has already demonstrated his leadership capabilities through his actions and press engagements," Kwakye said. "A debate is not needed to prove his worth; his achievements speak louder than words."
