
The Ghana Cocoa Board (Cocobod) has announced that purchases for the 2024/2025 light crop cocoa season will commence on June 21, 2024.
In a press statement issued on June 17, Cocobod said cocoa farmers can begin taking their produce to licensed buying companies from June 21.
The Board sets the producer price to be paid to farmers each season.
For the upcoming season, the producer price per bag of 64kg has been set at GH¢2,070.
A load of 30 kilograms for Grades I and II of the beans will also sell at GHC993.60.
A tonne of cocoa consisting of 16 bags will attract GH¢33,120.

The purchase of the 2023/2024 main crop season was closed on Thursday, June 6.
