The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of MTN Ghana, Mr. Selorm Adadevoh is gearing up for his new role in the MTN Group.

At a special edition of Bright Conversations held on Monday, January 29 for the outgoing MTN Ghana CEO, he said it has been a blessing leading the charge for the giant telecommunications company in the country.

“I have always felt that I can drive strategy. The only thing I needed was a room to build in. I have grown from one level to another in working in this industry and working with many stakeholders.

“I’ve been blessed to be CEO with MTN and have the chance to work with the team,” Selorm Adadevoh said.

In his engagement with stakeholders at the special Bright Conversations, the MTN Ghana CEO expressed appreciation to the people he worked with during his five-year and nine-month stay in office.

Thanks to the collective efforts, he said MTN Ghana has been able to grow four times in revenue and six times in profitability.

“I have to thank the team. They have been exceptional. Nothing happens without the team,” Selorm Adadevoh stressed.

Mr. Selorm Adadevoh further assured Ghanaians that MTN Ghana will continue to invest to build infrastructure to ensure it delivers the best services to Ghanaians.

Next move
As he leaves MTN Ghana as CEO, Mr. Selorm Adadevoh will now serve as Chief Commercial Officer of the MTN Group.

He is set to take over from Jens Schulte-Bockum who steps down as Group Chief Operating Officer at the end of his contract term in March 2024.

According to Mr. Adadevoh, the new role will be challenging but exciting at the same time.

He argued that after growing in his CEO role at MTN Ghana and his many years of experience in the sector, he is looking forward to the new challenge.
