Ghanaians are being deceived by the political elites with campaign messages and party manifestos which they the politicians don't believe in it. Based on the manifestos and campaign messages the electorates believe it, and vote with the expectation of electing developmentally oriented leaders.

Unfortunately we tend to elect dishonorable men and women whose preoccupation is to peculate the meagre resources of state to themselves and friends.

The genuine, trustworthy and credible individuals who have the capacity of rendering selfless service to Ghana are not welcome, because the appointing authority are not comfortable with their independent mindedness and based on this negative mentality we have kakistocratic regimes. So sad the few competent and credible personalities in government are easily labelled as people taking the shine off from the president, hence they are either reshuffle to obscure offices or kick out completely from government.

This attitude of the political elites has eroded trust and respect for authority and it appears lawlessness has engulfed all sectors in the country. People we queued to elect automatically becomes idols and demigods expecting the electorates to worship them.

Unfortunately we have men and women of valour who have sold their birthright to people we've elected to serve us, by singing choruses of deception to cocoon our leaders from reality. The most pathetic spectacle of our leaders is consciously being lackeys of the so call development partners and promotes their interest to the detriment of their fellow country men and women.

The Members of Parliament who are supposedly to checked the other Organ of state are rather in cahoots with the executive to inflict pain on the citizenry. Whenever the executive misused state resources recklessly they run to the legislature for more money through imposition of new taxes and levies.

It is highly unconscionable for the political elites to convert looted monies into foreign currencies and keep it under their beds or smuggle it out into foreign Banks, which eventually creates high demand for foreign currencies and that account for the periodic depreciation of the local currency.

We can confidently say the nefarious activities of the ruling class has led Ghana into this dreaded Domestic Debt Exchange Program which has eroded the pride of the country and have pulled almost one million Ghanaians into poverty.

The Organs of state has failed us, and the worse offending organ is the legislature, which all powers of state are invested in, as a check on the excesses of the other Organs, unfortunately they acquiesce to the executive control and sadly this wealthy country is subjected to misery, squalor and under developed

Therefore most appropriate message and gift to these current legislatures is to vote out as many as possible, and this would send the appropriate signal to the incoming legislatures to do the will of their constituents not the bidding of their parties. And this message would be loud enough for any political party thinking of swindling the electorates with tricks and lies must begin to revise their notes
