How is it that in kwame Nkrumah's Ghana today, anyone who tries to perform his or her duties diligently is paraded in public to be made to feel cheap and humiliated. Under Akufo Addo, a true and proper whistle blower or an undercover investigator would quickly fall foul of the establishment. A case in reference, the harassment of many media personnel and the subsequent killing of Ahmed Suale, then now come forward, IGP Dampare.
Journalists and other prominent Ghanaians who previously thought they were voting in a disciplined and trustworthy president quickly realised they've helped bring in a dangerous, wicked, and morally dysfunctional character for this noble job of a president. Otherwise, why would senior police officers who sat and discussed a treasonous plan to oust the inspector general of police of Ghana, why are they still sitting in comfort.
Senior police officers who have confirmed and accepted responsibility for audio material suggesting that the IGP is determined to control elections security fairly and firmly so he must be removed or their party of choice, the npp will find it difficult to win. These guys are not in custody as if what they had discussed clandestinely was a trivial tittle tattle.
This action in the military would be a straight court martial offence, which in the good old days would attract a sentence of facing the firing squadron. But today, while undercover investigators are ridiculed, hounded, and sometimes chased into hiding, some have even lost their lives, all because this akufoAddo regime is a crime group.
A crime group who plunder and steal with impunity and in mafia style, and nobody is allowed to stand in their way. So, we have observed another shallow and humiliating episode of marching the IGP out into the arena to face public scrutiny for some serious offence that others had committed while the real offenders sit aside as if they were patriotic whistle blowers for the country.
Where, except corrupt and rotten Ghana under crooked akufo Addo, can this happen.
Where would subversion planners be allowed to roam free when the subverted against is made to suffer humiliating public opprobrium. Sometimes, I want to ask, is this too a democracy? Today, every head of state institutions decided to side with Akufo Addo. The impunity has got so bad that now, there isn't any public uproar when public officials bend rules just to favour Akufo Addo. It has become normal to be seen to be on the side of Akufo Addo and the nnp against anyone and everything else. Every institution is now not working for Ghana. Now, every institution belongs to Akufo Addo. Even the judiciary is not spared in disgraceful turn of events.
The CJ finds nothing wrong at all, knowing that Ghanaians know that she was brought in to do the bidding of Akufo Addo and now has started returning the favour that Akufo Addo had done her. No shame at all. Zero integrity. People who previously commanded respect from Ghanaians have today become erran kids for Akufo Addo. What a shame! But how many times will I have to say this. Now, I am wondering if this our democracy type is worth protecting or saving. Time will tell.
