Hajia Samira Bawumia, A Strong Born Politician Who Does Not Need Any Rehearsals To Hit The Grounds Running In 2024

H. E. Hajia Samira Bawumia is the current second lady of the Republic of Ghana. She is successfully married to the Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, H. E. Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia. She was born into a family of politicians and married to a husband whose family is also politically inclined. Both Hajia Samira Bawumia and her husband discovered their potentials in politics, which, I believe, were genetically embedded in them, when Dr. Bawumia was selected as a running mate in 2008 to partner the then candidate Nana Akufo-Addo. Politics run in their families and they are really living up to that. Just like her husband, Hajia Samira Bawumia is a bold, courageous, articulate, affable and hard-working lady with all the qualities of a successful politician.

As the New Patriotic Party (NPP) lifts the ban once again for all interested and qualified members to put themselves up to be elected as the next leader of the party, many political dynamics will definitely come to play. Hajia Samira Bawumia's husband, Dr. Bawumia has picked, filed and submitted his nominations forms to contest for the flagbearership position of the party. This marks the beginning of the journey to the presidency by the next first family of Ghana, God Willing. Why should one say Hajia Samira Bawumia does not need any rehearsals prior to the 2024 elections?

It is undeniable fact that, the game of politics is not new to Hajia Samira Bawumia, hence, she does not need any rehearsals to support her husband in campaigning when he is elected as the next flagbearer of the NPP. Unlike the spouses of other aspirants who need rehearsals in order to join their husbands in the campaign train, should one of them be elected to lead the party in the 2024 general elections, Hajia Samira Bawumia will boldly and courageously mount campaign platforms without any hesitation. She is just a naturally born politician, who coincidentally married to another naturally born politician, who are perfectly matched, waiting for the delegates to give the mandate to her husband and the natural cause will play itself to the presidency of Ghana, with her husband sworn in as President of the Republic of Ghana and she automatically designated as first lady in 2025 by the grace of God.

Hajia Samira Bawumia has contributed her quota to the successes of the NPP in the previous elections, which cannot be underestimated. During the previous elections, she took it upon herself and went round the whole country, canvassing for votes from the electorates for the NPP. It is publicly known how she mounted her own platforms with her team trumpeting the policies in the manifesto of the party to the Ghanaian people. Her hard-work and desire to ensure that, the electorates bought into the policies of the party was commendable. She has shown to Ghanaians what she is made of politically with her bold, courageous and strong political presentations in various political platforms, and this is unarguably a plus to the husband, so far as breaking the eight year political cycle in Ghanaian politics under the 4th Republic is concerned.

Hajia Samira Bawumia will definitely be a very excellent first lady of Ghana, considering her exposure both nationally and internationally. Just as the campaign, she will not struggle to adapt to the presidential protocols unlike the other candidates' spouses. She is already familiar with almost all the diplomatic relations and international protocols. She has beautifully done a lot of official presentations both nationally and internationally.

Dear delegates, in making your choice, kindly consider the track record of the aspirant's spouse and what she will bring on board to help the candidate and the party to win the incoming general elections. Dr. Bawumia, undoubtedly, is the best and next to lead NPP in the 2024 general elections to break the eight, considering what Hajia Samira Bawumia has done for the party and what she will bring on board, relative to the other aspirants' spouses.
