Cynthia Morrison hopeful of winning Agona West NPP Parliamentary primaries

The Member of Parliament for Agona West Constituency, Hon. Cynthia Mamle Morrison has stated emphatically that she would win the NPP parliamentary primaries and subsequently win the 2024 general elections for the third time running to enable the party to retain the seat.

"Come what may, am going to win the parliamentary primaries hands down and will subsequently win the 2024 elections to retain the seat for NPP. What am asking for is a united front to achieve our desired goal of breaking the eight.

"United we stand, unity is strength so with one accord, we can go farther than we are now. I encourage everyone to be each other's keeper, lets work together as a family with a common goal," she stated.

Hon. Cynthia Mamle Morrison stated these at Meet Me There Fun Games organized for all the Electoral Areas in Agona Swedru to climax Easter celebrations on Monday.

She noted that the maiden Easter Monday fun games would be an annual event which would be held mainly in Agona Swedru.

"Apart from the annual Easter Monday fun Games, we have decided annual Father's Day for Agona Nyakrom, Mother's Day at Agona Abodom, and other events would be rotating to other communities like Agona Nkum, Agona Kwaman, Upper and Lower Bobikuma, Otsenkorang, Nsuansa, Ahamadonko, Edukrom and others to enhance socialization.

"So there will be Easter event at Agona Swedru, Father's Day event at Agona Nyakrom, Mother's Day event at Agona Abodom and other events to occupy the people during national holidays. This will strengthen the peaceful coexistence between us as one family and attract more people to join the NPP.

"I was extremely happy seeing people engaging in various fun games like, Sack Race, Oware, Draught (Dame), Tag of Peace, Table Tennis and Cooking Competition. Every Electoral Area was assigned to cook its own food for the competition. Generally, it was an indoor games to make fun and to exercise the body after Good Friday and Easter fatigue," Hon. Cynthia Morrison stated.

The Agona West Constituency Chairman of the NPP, Alhaji Jibril Tanko Toye commended Hon. Cynthia Mamle Morrison and the Constituency Executives for a well-organized event that had strengthened unity in the party.

"Seeing NPP Electoral Area Coordinators, Polling station executives, members of the Council of Elders and Patrons, gives me hope that the NPP in Agona West Constituency has a great future. Am satisfied with today's Meet Me Event," Alhaji Jibril Tanko Toye stressed.

The Agona West NPP Director of Communication, Mr. Samuel Osei Somuah popularly known as 'Kofi Osei' lauded participants for their zeal in 'breaking the eight' agenda.

He noted that President Akufo Addo has performed creditably and therefore NPP deserves to win the 2024 General Elections.

"This Fun Games has brought extra energy to every member of the NPP and even sympathizers to work extra hard towards victory 2024. The NDC should not deceive themselves of winning the forthcoming General Elections with former President John Mahama, the NPP will win the elections in grand style.

"Our Member of Parliament, Hon. Cynthia Mamle Morrison has done more than any MP in the history of the Agona West Constituency. The physical examples are there for anyone to see. Talking of astro Turf and for the first time in history we have gotten two Astro Turf at Agona Swedru and Nyakrom, a good number of classroom blocks, asphatic roads, electricity connection to rural communities to boost medium and small scale industries and enterprises, scholarship for students as well as support to Persons With Disability. All these are unprecedented in the history of the Agona West Constituency," he stated.

Prizes were given to the winners of the various categories. Dwenho Electoral Area won the overall award.
