The Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Richard Ahiagbah has indicated that the party is not shaken in any way after learning that John Dramani Mahama has picked forms to contest the Presidential primaries of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Addressing a press conference in Accra on Wednesday, February 22, Ahiagbah indicated that his party is particularly interested in how Mahama plans on building the Ghanaian economy when his track record is nothing to write home about.
“We are ready for him, we are interested in how we can build the economy. What we are interested in is whether or not he has the solution because we saw him vanquished gains that he got, we saw him collapse our economy, we saw him collapse our banking sector, we saw him cause Ghanaians to live in absolute difficulties in this country without electricity,” Richard Ahiagbah told journalists.
The press conference followed reports that ex-President John Dramani Mahama picked forms to contest the NDC Presidential primaries.
Although the nominations for the NDC presidential primaries only opened today, John Mahama has already made his intentions clear.
He is now set to contest the likes of Dr. Kwabena Duffuor and any other person who will seek to run in the party’s presidential elections.
John Dramani Mahama is currently on a trip to Nigeria and will return to Ghana after the country's general elections which come off on February 25.
