Vice President Alhaji Dr. Mahamuud Bawumia has commissioned an ultra-modern market complex for traders at Salaga in the East Gonja Municipal of the Savannah Region.
The commissioning of the ceremony formed part of the Vice President's two day tour of the Savannah Region.
At the short durbar to commission the edifice, Dr. Bawumia noted that the construction of the market complex vindicates the government's unwavering resolve of creating a conducive environment for businesses to thrive.
According to him, the market complex with other ancillaries was to facilitate the economic activities of the area.
He further added that it will go a long way to boost the trading activities and also help improve the agricultural potential of the Municipality.
The MCE for East Gonja, Richard Broni in a brief address disclosed that additional ancillaries including a bus terminal are set to be added to the market.
These ancillaries he noted, will help ease congestion on the streets and allow for free flow of economic activities in the Salaga township.
