Abu Jinapor urge teachers to help improve standard of education

Member of Parliament for Damongo constituency in the Savannah Region, Abu Jinapor has appealed to teachers in the West Gonja Municipality to help raise the standard of education in the area.

He made this appeal on Friday, October 7, 2022 at an event to mark the maiden Best Teacher Award held at the Damongo astroturf.

He noted that for the standard of education to improve in the Municipal, teachers have a greater role to play hence, the need for them to put in their best.

According to him, pupils easily get influenced by the lives lived by teachers and thus asked them to lead a life of emulation to facilitate their proper upbringing.

He stressed that the role of teachers in shaping useful children is unmeasurably significant and could not be overemphasized.

He maintained that high standard of education can be attained if teachers especially in deprived areas are motivated enough through incentives and award schemes at the Municipal level.

The lawmaker paid glowing tribute to all teachers in the Municipality for their hard work towards changing the educational narrative for good.

Also, he assured that his office would continue to assist teachers at all times to help improve the educational standards in the area.

The award scheme fashioned to motivate hardworking and dedicated teachers in the Municipality was organized and founded solely by the Damongo legislature who is also the sector Minister for Lands and Natural Resources.

Deserving teachers who distinguished themselves properly were awarded prizes including motorbikes, laptops, flat screen televisions of different sizes and others.
