Mr Abdul Noor Wahab, Vice President of Ahmadiyya Muslim Elders Organization, Ghana, says the Ghanaian society must stop glorifying immorality, a menace that is eroding the fabrics of society.

He said: “Men who are married believe and boldly say that it is okay to still have amorous relationships with other ladies they are not married to. Society glorifies such relationships and call such women 'side chics.'

He said this at the 41st Annual National Ijtema'a (Rally) of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Organisation, Ghana that brought about 3000 young Muslims at Bustan-e-Ahmad, Agbogba, Accra.

Delivering a keynote address on the topic “A Spiritual Revival and Moral Regeneration” to help promote discipline, nationalism and development, Mr Wahab said society had given a name to prostitution and called it 'hook up'

He said nudity, recording and circulation of illicit sexual activities among the youth on social media seemed to have been accepted as the new way of life.

Mr Wahab, who is also the Koforidua Zonal President, noted that the young were comfortable giving birth out of wedlock and described themselves as 'Baby Mama.'

He urged the Ahmadiyya Muslims Community to continue to work for moral transformation and bear in mind that they had a duty to provide spiritual and moral rejuvenation of mankind.

The event brought to the occasion Ahmadiyya Muslim from Ghana's neighbouring countries like the Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast and Nigeria.

It was organised under the Chairmanship of Alhajj Maulvi Noor Mohammed Bin Salih, Ameer and Missionary-In-Charge, Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission, Ghana.
