You have wiped the tears of Gonjas — Hajia Safia lauds Akufo Addo

Savannah Regional women's organizer for the New Patriotic (Party NPP), Hajia Safia Mohammed has commended President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for the numerous developmental projects dotted across the length and breadth of the region.

In a statement issued and copied to Modern Ghana News, the women's wing leader opined that the President has wiped the tears of the chiefs and people of the Gonja Kingdom.

According to her, it was manifested in the reception he received from the people during his visit to the region.

"This therefore juxtaposed that the significant works and initiatives that sort to create job opportunities, is leveraging the people of our region from poverty and ultimately enhancing economic activities in the area".

She averred that they feel perfectly vindicated that they took the decision to elect the President to power because all the very works done by him for the betterment of the people of savannah region really deserve commendation.

"It is a clear indication that one must not necessarily be your biological relations before the person can emancipate you from your long waited dreams.

"It is our hope that much more of development initiatives will continue to come to the region to enhance the livelihood of the chiefs and people especially women", she added.

SAVANNAH WOMEN’S ORGANIZER THANKS HIS EXCELLENCY NANA ADDO DANKWA AKUFO-ADDO FOR VISITING THE REGION

It was such an honour to the entire people of the Savannah region, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for your visit to the region you so desired in the country.

Your regular visit to your very own baby region that you conceived and gave birth to, is much appreciative and deserves the utmost applauds from the chiefs and people of your beloved Savannah region.

We really feel that we had actually taken the very right as well as the very perfect decision of actually electing you to power because all the very works done by you actually for the very emancipation of the people of Savannah region really deserve commendation.

The numerous development projects dotted across the length and breadth of the region after creation of the region, is a clear indication that one must not necessarily be your biological relations before the person can emancipate you from your long awaited dreams.

You have wiped out the tears of the chiefs and people the Gonja area and this was manifested in the reception you received from the people during your visit in the area.

This therefore juxtaposed that the significant works and initiatives that sort to create jobs opportunities, is leveraging the people of our region from poverty and ultimately enhancing economic activities in the area.

The decades dream of the chiefs and people of the Gonja area, is now a reality, a reality with dignity, a reality with ancillaries such as jobs, booming economic activities, rapid infrastructural and human development among others and we are thankful.

It is our hope that much more of development initiatives will continue to come to the region to enhance the livelihood of the chiefs and people especially women.

Mr. President, on behalf of the Women’s wing of the Savannah region of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the entire people of the region, I wish to once again convey our indebtedness to you for the presidential visit to your baby region to ensure that whatever promises you made to the distinguished Chiefs and people of the region really comes to fruition.
