Nasara Coordinator for Suame Constituency branch of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Alhaji Eliasu Ipala, aka Kasanipaho has urged factions of vice President Mahamudu Bawumia and Trade Minister Alan Kyeremanten to be decorous in their dealings.

He said until accusations and counter-accusations from the two factions are halted, there will be no peace in the party going forward.

Alhaji lpala said in an interview with the Modernghana News during the Eid celebration.

The Nasara Coordinator who is also in charge of Kumasi Bantam and Asawase stressed that if care is not taken the action of the two factions could have negative impact on the party in the 2024 polls.

He cited how such factions normally clash at funeral grounds and important gatherings attributing the situation to sheer political hatred "or if not unconstitutional power struggle to impose one person to become flagbearer in the 2024 elections."

According to him, during the ex-President Kufour's regime seventeen (17) presidential aspirants reared their heads to contest for the flagbearership position in the party, yet no rough scenes were recorded until Kufour was elected based on the discretion of the delegates. "So what is the fear of the factions of Allan and Bawumia?"

Touching on the immoral conduct of the youth, especially those in the Zongo communities, Alhaji lpala advised parents to take advantage of the Eidul-Fitr celebration to discipline their children against social vices in the society.

He stressed as parents it is their responsibility to discipline and shape the lives of their children "so that they would grow up to become good citizens and contribute their quota towards national development."
