The construction of a mosque has been approved for Muslims in Dabala Junction by some Turkish friends of Hon. Kobena Mensah Woyome, Member of Parliament (MP) for South Tongu.
The construction of this mosque, according to the MP, is to start very soon.
He said the Turkish friends of his have already begun a similar project in some sister constituencies in the Volta Region and would soon be the turn of Dabala Junction.
The lawmaker noted that the mosque will come with a purified water system which he believes will somehow minimize the water crisis in the area.
On Thursday, 13th May 2021, Hon. Kobena Mensah Woyome marked another Eid-Ul-Fitr by donating food items to Muslim communities in the South Tongu District of the Volta Region.
It was during the donation at Dabala Junction that he revealed this plan.
Hon. Woyome donated five bags of Copa Jasmine rice and 2 cartons of cooking oil to them.
