Ofori-Atta flown abroad for Covid-19 vaccination - Former Minister alleges

A former Minister of Tourism under the late Mills' administration, Zita Benson has alleged that former Finance Minister and Minister for Finance designate was flown abroad for vaccination against the coronavirus.

News about the evacuation of the former Finance Minister, Ken Ofori Attah to the United States went viral after a press release was issued by the Finance Ministry in Accra.

Per the press release, Ken Ofori Attah had to be flown outside for intensive medical care as he suffers complications related to covid-19 which he survived weeks ago.

But for Zita Benson, Ken Atta's evacuation to the US is not just about getting medical care but to get him vaccinated against the coronavirus as well.

"Yeah he is going to get his vaccine shot," she alleged in a Facebook post sighted by this portal

She questioned why Ken Att has been flown abroad for medical care instead of being taken to the National Cathedral which his ministry has allocated a lot of money to.

"The rest of the population can wait. They couldn’t build even one clinic in four years. Anyway, why didn’t he go for treatment at the national cathedral he made money available for instead? By the way, Speedy recovery" she wrote in what appears to be a mixed feeling social media post.
