NDC Street Protests Are Already Out of Control

He says that if the disgruntled members, supporters and sympathizers of his boss, namely, former President John “Akonfem-Kanazoe” Dramani Mahama, are not immediately placated, by having the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) make believe that, in fact, it was Little Dramani who won the 2020 Presidential Election, and not the incumbent President Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, then the unmistakably criminally staged arsonist protests by National Democratic Congress’ members, supporters and sympathizers are certain to spiral out of control (See “NDC Protests May Get Out of Control – Asiedu-Nketia” 12/22/20).

Somebody needs to tell the dynastic General-Secretary of the National Democratic Congress that there is absolutely nothing “spontaneous” about the Mahama-instigated dastardly protestations by the rank-and-file membership of the country’s main opposition political party. You see, there has never been anything “democratic” about the political shenanigans of the Jerry John Rawlings-founded National Democratic Congress. The very adjectival descriptive of “democratic” may very well have been borrowed from the “Democratic” Republic of Korea, or North Korea, whose dictatorial political culture clearly appears to be the ideological paradigm or model for the leaders of the National Democratic Congress.

Somebody much more intelligent and levelheaded had better inform Mr. Johnson Asiedu-Nketia that if the operatives and the supporters and sympathizers of his party make the egregious mistake of deliberately spiraling their very “spontaneous” arsonist street protests out of control, they would have a vintage taste of the coercive apparatus of the Sovereign Democratic Republic of Ghana. You see, the hallmark of civically responsible or law-abiding democratically defeated leaders is to peaceably allow the laws of the land to prevail, while registering one’s vehement dissension or disagreement with the legitimately constituted courts of the land, as the exemplary Candidate Akufo-Addo and his staunchest political associates, namely, the now-Vice-President Mahamudu Bawumia and the late Mr. Jake Otanka Obetsebi-Lamptey did in the wake of the hotly disputed 2012 Presidential Election.

On the latter count, it is equally significant to note that Mr. Asiedu-Nketia publicly and sheepishly observed that it was Candidate Akufo-Addo who had, in fact, handily won the 2012 Presidential Election, and that it was the abject lack of vigilance on the part of Akufo-Addo polling agents and assigns that had scandalously played into the fraudulent hands of the Dr. Kwadwo Afari-Gyan, the extant Electoral Commissioner, and a rabidly megalomaniacal Interim-President John “Embraer Scam-Artist” Dramani Mahama. What is equally important to underscore here is that in the leadup to the 2016 General Election, when local National Democratic Congress’ executives in the Klottey-Korle Constituency, Central Accra, legitimately disqualified a dues-delinquent Dr. Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings, eldest daughter of the recently deceased Chairman Jerry John Rawlings, Mr. Asiedu-Nketia wisely and constructively resorted to the use of our legitimately constituted courts of adjudication and not violent street protests, which is the veritable language of barbarians and savages.

Well, we all may not have warmed up to the rather morally cowardly decision handed down by a half-dozen, or so, Supreme Court Panel, that scandalously overruled the very savvy verdict of an Accra High Court Judge. Nevertheless, the “supreme” judicial travesty that catapulted Ms. Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings into Ghana’s august National Assembly, or Parliament, was allowed to stand. There were no violent protests in the streets of the Klottey-Korle Constituency, to the best of my memory. Which, of course, makes one reasonably question the fact of whether, indeed, the Asiedu-Nketia/Mahama Posse really has the forensically credible or sustainable evidence which the leadership of the National Democratic Congress haughtily claims to possess.

If violent street protests, including environmentally polluting tire-burning, is the new language of choice by the convincingly and legitimately trounced leadership of the country’s main opposition National Democratic Congress, then the cynical and narcissistic likes of Messrs. Asiedu-Nketia, Mahama and Inusah Fuseini had better be prepared to pay the proverbial ultimate price for their treasonous and seditious activities. Twenty-Twenty-One is the year that should see Mr. Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo, the terror mastermind and National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress, smack behind bars. The leaders of the most lawless and murderous political party in the country have absolutely no right, whatsoever, to presume to impose their self-serving brand and/or understanding of justice on the rest of us bona fide and civically responsible Ghanaian citizens and voters. True “revolutionaries” are peace-loving, morally upright and civically responsible and law-abiding. A word to the wise….
