The Minister for Justice and Attorney General, Madam Gloria Akuffo has been reminded of her promise to Ghanaians vis-à-vis the much talked about judicial scandal that rocked the nation late last year, involving an interdicted Bolgatanga-based senior state's Attorney, Emmanuel Lawrence Otto-Boison.
The embattled state's lawyer was captured on camera receiving money and a pregnant goat to free a crime suspect, Mohammed Awal, who was standing a rape trial at a Bolgatanga High court.
Gloria Akuffo, late last year interdicted the state's officer following the airing of the documentary dubbed 'cash for justice' by EIB network's Edward Adeti and promised to pronounce the outcome of a judicial committee setup to investigate the officer within one month.
But a year on after her promise, Ghanaians are however not told of the outcome of the Justice Jones Dotse's led committee.
In a letter reminding the Attorney General and Minister of justice of her promise, a Ghanaian journalist, Haruna Sumaila Abugri thus emphasized the relevance of the minister's one month period ultimatum promise [of pronouncing the outcome of the committee's work] and called on her to act; nothing that Ghanaians have anxiously waited for far too long.
The senior state's lawyer was heard coaching a hypothetical relative of the suspect in the documentary, what, he, the suspect needed to do to void an INTERPOL arrest.
Below is the letter to the Attorney General and Minister of Justice.

The Minister,

Dear Madam,
A REMINDER OF YOUR PROMISE
I respectfully write to your outfit to remind you of your promise to the good people of Ghana with regard to the famous judicial corruption scandal that shocked the nation late last year involving an interdicted Bolgatanga-based Senior State's Attorney, Emmanuel Lawrence Otoo-Boison, entitled “Cash for Justice”.
Following the airing of the exposé on October 31, 2019, on Accra-based GHOne Television, your outfit interdicted the embattled state's lawyer in November last year and promised to inform Ghanaians, within a month, the outcome of an investigative commission assigned to a Committee headed by His lordship, Justice Jones Dotse.
It is exactly a year on since you made the promise, but Ghanaians are yet to be told the contents in the Committee's report.
As one of the countless fervid followers of that exposé and all the reports associated with the exposé and the Committee, I hope this letter reaches your outfit so that Ghanaians will be informed of the outcome of the documentary produced by the Excellence in Broadcasting (EIB) Network's Edward Adeti.
I wish to inform you that Ghanaians are anxiously watching as they await your pronouncement.
Yours faithfully,
…signed……….
Haruna Sumaila Abugri.
