The six-time winners of the National Science and Maths Quiz, Presbyterian Boys’ Senior High School (PRESEC-Legon) have presented their trophy to President Nana Akufo-Addo at the Jubilee House.
The event took place on Wednesday, 14 October 2020.
President Akufo-Addo later posted on his Facebook timeline: “The 6-time winners of the National Science and Maths Quiz competition, Presbyterian Boys' Senior High School (PRESEC), Legon, were at Jubilee House, the seat of the nation's presidency, on Wednesday, 14 October 2020, to present the trophy they won this year to me”.
“Congratulations are in order to PRESEC, Legon.
“I wished the contestants, in particular, the very best of luck and God’s blessings in all their future endeavours.
“I urged them to remember, at all times, the words of the school’s motto: ‘In Lumine Tuo Videbimus Lumen – In Thy Light, we shall see Light’”.
The President’s Director of Communication at the Presidency, Mr Eugene Arhin, is an old boy (Odadee) of PRESEC.
PRESEC won the contest with 36 points.
They beat Adisadel College and Opoku Ware Senior High School, who had 31 and 21, respectively.
