“Let’s Respect Ghanaian Women; They’re Capable Of Holding Political Portfolios” – Gallant Soldiers Cadres To NPP

Gallant Soldiers Cadres a subsidiary under the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has rubbished NPP’s ideology that women are incapable of holding key positions in political fraternity.

Their uproar emphasizes the press conference organized by the New Patriotic Party spearheaded by their communications director Yaw Boabeng Asamoah right after former president John Dramani Mahama named Prof. Jean Naana Opoku Agyemang as his running mate.

The NPP Communications Director, Mr. Yaw Buaben Asamoah should retract the comments he attributed to Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang following the announcement by the John Dramani Mahama as the running mate to partner the Flagbearer of the NDC in the 2020 general elections.

Many Ghanaians are not especially feminist including women see the comment as a bad one and an attack on women.

We are asking Ghanaians to vote against the New Patriotic Party in the upcoming December polls because it is not uncharacteristic of NPP to chastise women who are appointed to high positions, tagging them as ‘prostitutes’.

The Adenta MP at a press conference after the announcement of the NDC running mate said former President John Mahama does not take Ghanaians seriously with his selection of the Professor., meant NDC do not take Ghanaians seriously. because Jane is female.

“We can only conclude that the choice of Prof Jane Naana Opoku-Agyeman by Mr. John Dramani Mahama is a clear indication that he does not take the Ghanaian electorate seriously,” the MP said among other things.

The Gallant Soldiers Cadres of NDC says Mr. Buaben Asamoah’s attack was an attack on all women in the country and he must apologize accordingly. Our politics should be decent and devoid of insults.

It seems to be the track records of the NPP, anytime a woman is appointed, they have a name to call that woman. Either she is a prostitute, she has used her womanhood to get the position, and this is so absurd, it’s becoming unbecoming. Gallant Soldiers Cadres of NDC call an end to that.

Prof Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang is a very intelligent woman and who would say she has used her womanhood for this position; nobody. She holds 8 Masters Degree, 4 PhD 1 professorial degree, etc.

We are therefore telling NPP to come out and apologize to Professor.

We realized that there are so many women who are very intelligent, capable, confident but they don’t have what it takes to come out to take up political positions. Due to fear of malice.
