
Gyedu Blay Ambolley, the King of Simingwa, will today be honoured at a ceremony at the residence of Mr Mats Karlsson, the Resident Representative of the World Bank.
The ceremony dubbed “The crowning of Ambolley,” will be attended by a cross-section of Ghanaian artistes and ministers of state.
An elaborate programme drawn up for the ceremony will include an Art exhibition by artists from Accra, Kumasi, Ougadougou and Lome.
Pa John Bentsifi Dadson will introduce Ambolley, with Amanzeba Nat Brew and the Native Orchestra ushering in the King of Singwa.
The ceremony which would be laced with drinks and background music and the launch of Ambolley's CD, will see Nana Kobina Nketsia, Omanhene of Essikado, crowning Ambolley before a live performance by the original afro rapper.
The Minister of Culture and Chieftaincy Affairs is expected to make a remark while the Megastar Band is expected to back the artistes.
