Lord! Take me back - Let the pentecostal fire burn again

I. CHILD OF GOD, this is not a message for sinners, but this is a cry for saints who have lost their fire. Truthfully, there are many in the church today who still come to church, still clap, and still sing, but the fire is gone. The zeal is gone. The tears are gone. The first love is gone. We are busy, we are blessed, and we are bigger—but we are colder. The entertainment-driven gospel has taken over the ministering gospel. The Ephesian church in Revelation 2 was a working church, a labouring church, a patient church, and a doctrinally sound church—but Jesus Christ said (Revelation 2:4-5), "Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent." They did not lose their works; they lost their fire. Lord, take us back there! Before titles, before positions, before money stole our hearts. (Luke 15:17)—The prodigal son said, "And when he came to himself, he said, 'How many hired servants of my father's have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger!" Coming to yourself is the first step back.

II. SON OF MAN, today, let us reflect. David acknowledged his fall and prayed (Psalm 51:10, 12): "Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me... Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit." David’s prayer is simple: LORD! TAKE ME BACK TO WHERE I FIRST BELIEVED. We are not praying for noise. We are praying for fire. There is a difference. The Pentecostal fire is not entertainment-driven gospel fire. It is not carnal fire. It is holy fire. It is the fire that purifies. When fire falls, sin cannot stay. The old Pentecostal fire made you hate sin. It purged your tongue, your eyes, your heart. It is the fire that empowers the witness. (Acts 1:8) - "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me..." Peter was a fisherman before the fire; after the fire, he stood and preached, and 3,000 souls were saved. Fire makes ordinary people become conquerors. It is the fire that keeps you burning. Where is that fire today? Many lamps are still on the altar, but oil is finished. (Matthew 25:8) - "And the foolish said unto the wise, 'Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.'" LORD! TAKE ME BACK—LET THE PENTECOSTAL FIRE BURN AGAIN.

III. DAUGHTER OF ZION, have you left our first love for Jesus and replaced it with love for things? Love for self, love for position, love for money, love for entertainment-driven gospel? (Matthew 24:12) - "And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold." Have you set strange fire on your altar? In some instances, we brought worldliness into the church. (Leviticus 10:1) - Nadab and Abihu offered "strange fire before the LORD, which he commanded them not." When we mix carnality with Christianity, holy fire leaves and strange fire enters. (Ephesians 4:30) - "And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption." And 1 Thessalonians 5:19 emphasis it - "Quench not the Spirit." Sister, the fire does not go out suddenly, it goes out gradually, sometimes unnoticed – one compromise at a time, one neglected prayer meeting at a time, one small sin excused at a time. (Revelation 2:5) - "Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen." Brother, go back in your mind, remember the joy, the tears, the passion, how you used to fast, and how you used to evangelize. Refrain from entertainment-driven gospel and cry out LORD! TAKE ME BACK – LET THE PENTECOSTAL FIRE BURN AGAIN.

IV. BRETHREN IN THE LORD, (Acts 3:19) - "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;" You used to pray consistently, but who bitched you to stop? Go back to prayer. Daily you never miss reading the Bible. Go back to the Word. You witnessed. Go back to witnessing. You fasted. Go back to fasting. Remember that God never pours fire on a cold, casual, careless heart. He pours fire on hungry, thirsty, tarrying hearts. Revival will not come back to the church not through just mass programmes and entertainment-driven gospel ministry. It will be changed by burning men. God does not need more shining lights without burning. He needs burning lights that shine. Today, make the cry: Lord, I don't want to be a former Pentecostal. I want to be a burning Pentecostal. Remember this is a DIVINE NEW DAY PROPHETIC WORD of encouragement sent forth through the authority and power of Christ Jesus and delivered to the brethren through God's Vessel, Francis Ameyibor. Yes! LORD! Take me back to where I first believed. Take me back to the upper room. Take me back to the altar where I wept. Take me back to when Your Word was sweeter than honey. Take me back to when winning a soul was my greatest joy.

V. 2026 IS OUR YEAR AND SEASON TO BE LIFTED UP—Let the fire fall on me again! Let that Pentecostal fire burn in me once again!

PRAYER: Father, I have left my first love. I confess my coldness. I have allowed my lamp to go dim. Today I remember, I repent, and I return. Pour down Your Pentecostal fire upon me once again. Burn away every carnality. Fill me with the Holy Ghost afresh. Restore unto me the joy of my salvation. In Jesus' mighty name, Amen.
