I. CHILD OF GOD, one of the greatest dangers in the Church today is misplaced focus. We came to seek God, but we stopped at the man of God. We came for Jehovah, but we settled for the servant of Jehovah. We came for the Creator, but we are worshiping the vessel. And so the Holy Spirit is asking the Church in this hour, "" If your focus is man, you will be disappointed and manipulated, and you will miss your miracle—because your source is wrong. But if your focus is God—your service will be pure, your reward will be sure, and your breakthrough will be permanent. Colossians 3:23-24 settles it: "Whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, AS TO THE LORD, and not unto men... for ye serve the Lord Christ." Paul was not writing to pastors. He was writing to ordinary believers—to servants, to workers, to church members. Paul’s admonishing was that your ultimate employer is not your pastor, your ultimate audience is not the congregation, and your ultimate evaluator is not the man of God, but it is God Himself.
II. BRETHREN IN THE LORD, Ephesians 6:6-7 warns us not to work. - "Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers, but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart; With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men." When your service is unto God, you will be faithful even when no one is watching. You will clean the church even when no one says thank you. You will give, pray, and serve—because your focus is God. Today we say, "I am of [this prophet], I am of [that apostle], I am of [this bishop]." That is carnality. The early Church had the same problem. In 1 Corinthians 3:4-7 Paul addresses it: "For while one saith, 'I am of Paul,' and another, 'I am of Apollos,' are ye not carnal? Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed... So then neither is he that planteth anything, neither he that watereth, but God that giveth the increase." The man of God is a pointer. He is not the destination. A true man of God will always point you to God, not to himself. If you follow a man of God and he falls, will your faith fall? If your prophet travels and is not around, will you stop praying and attending church services? If your pastor does not call your name, will you stop coming to church?
III. SON OF MAN, "Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross..." (Hebrews 12:2) Not looking unto the prophet. Not looking unto the prophetess. Looking unto Jesus! The man of God may plant, the woman of God may water, BUT GOD GIVES THE INCREASE. Your focus must be on the One who gives increase. LET US REVERENCE OUR MEN OF GOD, BUT WE ARE NOT TO WORSHIP THEM; WE WORSHIP GOD ONLY. The Bible commands honour. But honour is not worship. 1 Timothy 5:17 instructs us, "Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine." Hebrews 13:17—"Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves... "Beloved, we are under divine instruction to reverence, respect, honour, submit, and support our men and women of God. They labour, they pray, and they sacrifice; therefore, double honour is biblical, but worship belongs to God alone. In Exodus 20:3-5—" Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image... Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God. "God is jealous. He will not share His glory with any man.
IV. DAUGHTER OF ZION, when Cornelius fell at Peter's feet to worship him: Acts 10:25-26—"And as Peter was coming in, Cornelius met him and fell down at his feet and worshipped him. But Peter took him up, saying, Stand up; I myself also am a man." When John tried to worship the angel: Revelation 19:10 - "And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant... worship God." If an angel refuses worship, how much more a man of God? True men of God will tell you: "Stand up! I am also a man. Worship God." Don't kiss the feet of a man and forget the feet of Jesus that were pierced for you. Don't fear the man of God more than you fear God. Don't seek to please the prophet at the expense of pleasing God. Reverence them. Don't worship them. Let the man of God pray for you, but let your faith be in God who answers prayer. Psalm 121:1-"2—"I - "I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth." Remember this is a DIVINE NEW DAY PROPHETIC WORD of encouragement sent forth through the authority and power of Christ Jesus and delivered to the brethren through God's Vessel, Francis Ameyibor. Yes! Don't look to men. Look up to the mountains. Look up to God.
V. 2026 IS OUR YEAR AND SEASON TO BE LIFTED UP—Settle this in your heart today. No prophet gives you a miracle. God gives you a miracle through a prophet. No apostle gives you a breakthrough. God gives you breakthrough through His vessel. Psalm 62:5,11 - "My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him... God hath spoken once; twice have I heard this; that power belongeth unto God."
PRAYER: LORD! From today, my service is unto thee, not unto men! From today, I will reverence my pastors, but I worship thee alone! From today, I will not replace the God factor with any man! YES! LORD, my miracle is from thee! My help comes from the Lord! My focus is Jesus! In the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen!
