Are you weary?

I. MY BELOVED BRETHREN IN THE LORD, today, I want to ask you a question that Jesus Himself asked with compassion: Wait a minute before you answer. Not just physically tired. Weary in your spirit. Weary from praying and nothing changing. Weary from fighting the same battle. Weary in marriage. Weary at work. Weary of waiting for a life partner. Weary hoping. The question again is, For the avoidance of doubt, the word "weary" means exhausted, worn out, faint, or discouraged. David felt it: Psalm 69:3. “I am worn out calling for help; my throat is parched.” Elijah felt it: 1 Kings 19:4 “I have had enough, Lord... Take my life.” If you are weary today, you are in good company. Even a strong person gets weak sometimes. You pastors also get to that point of weariness sometimes. Sometimes we get weary because we want to carry what God never asked us to. Sometimes we want to demonstrate our strength, so we run on our own, but Zechariah 4:6 teaches us, “Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit.” Don’t carry loads not meant for you. Don’t undertake projects beyond yourself. Let God give you directions first.

II. MY DEAR BROTHER, today, God says in Matthew 11:28, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” God says COME. Will you heed the call? In Matthew 11:29 God says, “Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” A yoke is for work. Jesus is not saying “do nothing.” He’s saying, “Don’t pull alone. Pull with Me.” His yoke is easy because He carries the heavy end. God is calling you to bring your burden, and He will give you rest. In Isaiah 40:28-31, we are reminded, “Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God... He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak... but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not be faint.” Eagles don’t flap harder in the storm. They rise above it on the wind. Beloved, while going through the door of weariness, Hebrews 12:1-3 encourages us to do one thing: “Let us run with perseverance... considering him who endured... so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.” Look to Jesus. He endured the cross. He knows weariness.

III. MY BELOVED SISTER, I assure you that the Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still. When you’re tired of trying, tired of forgiving, and tired of hoping, God says, COME. At the office when there is pressure, unfair bosses’ decisions, or fear of failure, God says, "Depend on Him. Colossians 3:23: 'Work for the Lord, not for human masters.” Matthew 6:33 “Seek first his kingdom... and all these things will be given to you.” All the things you are seeking and not getting are making you weary; if you seek God first, He will do them for you. Your security is not in your salary; it’s in your Shepherd. Galatians 6:2 “Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” Let us also learn to share our burdens with faithful brethren. Don’t keep it to yourself; God has planted that friend close to you for a time like this. Your encouragement, your prayer, your presence can be God’s rest to someone going through that weary moment. God allowed you to go through it to strengthen the brethren with your experience. Share your testimonies to encourage those going through it.

IV. SON OF MAN, today I encourage you to pour it out also through prayer (Philippians 4:6-7). “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation... present your requests to God. And the peace of God... will guard your hearts.” During that moment, FEED ON THE WORD—Jeremiah 15:16. “When your words came, I ate them; they were my joy and my heart’s delight.” The Word is bread for the weary soul. Stay in His presence at all times. Exodus 33:14: “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.” Stop and worship. God inhabits praise. Psalm 22:3, during that period don’t quit, Galatians 6: 9. “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” Your harvest is coming. Don’t quit a minute before the miracle. Dear weary brethren, Psalm 55:22 invites you to “Cast your cares on the Lord, and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken.” This is a DIVINE NEW DAY PROPHETIC WORD of encouragement sent forth through the authority and power of Christ Jesus and delivered to the brethren through God's vessel, Francis Ameyibor. Yes! Maybe today you have been saying, “I am fine," but inside you are breaking. Lay it down.

V. 2026 IS OUR YEAR AND SEASON TO BE LIFTED UP— Then come. Come with your questions. Come with your doubts. Come with your exhaustion.

PRAYER: Father, we come to You weary. Weary bodies, weary minds, weary hearts. We take off the heavy yoke of striving and we take on Your yoke. Teach us Your gentleness. Give us Your rest. Renew our strength like eagles. Help us not to grow weary in doing good. And when You refresh us, use us to refresh others.
