Shivratri - The Night To Upgrade Yourself

The vedic philosophy, or I should say history, starts and ends with the shivling. Why I am calling the future history is because it has already been conceived in the super mind of brahma, the architect of creation. It encompasses the past, present and also the future and deals with all levels of dimensions or the three main levels - the astral, the physical and the netherworlds.

Shivling is an oval, indicating no beginning and no end. Similarly, the creation also has no beginning and no end. There are many levels to it - some apparent to the human senses and some which are beyond its spectrum of frequency and hence incomprehensible by the five senses. This is one of the main reasons the majority of people call it mythology and not reality. So to understand the levels of creation and what creation actually is one needs to make a guru, because the guru only will open higher senses and increase your spectrum of frequencies to make other dimensions comprehensible, basically like an upgradation of computer.

A computer which functions on basic processes, e.g. pentium 2, cannot solve the complexities which core i5. So to reveal the reality of the entire creation, Shiv took on the role of adi guru and the first shishya became mata parvati. To her were revealed the deepest secrets of all the three worlds, basically a quick upgrade which awakened her to her real form of Shakti. It is symbolic of Guru-Shishya relationship that a guru upgrades a shishya consciousness through the process called Shaktipath.

Shivratri being the merger of shiv and Shakti is indicative of the right concentration of energies to pair oneself to delve into the deeper secrets of creation. Mantras given by the guru fructify on this day and the right practices reveal to a shishya the hidden dimensions and give gyan which is incomprehensible to the normal brain. Basically, golden opportunity to upgrade from a pentium 2 to a core i5.
