With a keen eye for geology and a passion for innovation, Hon. George Mireku Duker has played a pivotal role in shaping the mining industry. His tireless efforts have led to groundbreaking discoveries, improved extraction methods, and enhanced safety protocols.
But Hon. George Mireku Duker is more than just a mining expert; he is a leader, mentor, and friend to persons with disabilities. His generosity, kindness, and compassion have inspired countless individuals and transformed lives. As the Member of Parliament for Tarkwa-Nsuaem, he has been instrumental in supporting people with disabilities, donating items such as wheelchairs and crutches, and advocating for their inclusion.
Recently, to mark his birthday, he donated 10 wheelchairs, 11 crutches, and an undisclosed amount of money to support people with disabilities. He continually encourages institutions to consider people with disabilities when building new structures and urges authorities to release funds allocated for their support. Since taking office, he has been a steadfast supporter of the Ghana Federation of Disabled Organizations.
Keep putting smiles on the faces of people, Hon. George Mireku Duker. Ghana is proud of you!
