Kumawood actor Wayoosi has advised colleague LilWin to be more cautious with his public statements following the GH¢10 million defamation lawsuit filed against him by actor Van Vicker.
Speaking on Royal TV, Wayoosi noted that this is the second defamation case involving LilWin and a fellow actor, recalling the earlier legal battle with actress Martha Ankomah.
“This is the second time, and it is becoming too much. The first was with Martha Ankomah, and he wanted the case withdrawn and settled at home, but she refused. Now, there is this Van Vicker case,” he said.
Wayoosi stressed that comments considered harmless in one part of the country may be offensive elsewhere, urging LilWin to be mindful of how he communicates publicly.
He warned that careless remarks could expose individuals to lawsuits and hefty claims for damages.
“When you are speaking, you should be mindful of the words you use. Some of us, when we are talking, edit our words in our heads because we know we could say something and the next thing we know, the police have picked us up,” he stated.
In February 2024, Martha Ankomah filed a GH¢5 million defamation suit against LilWin over comments he allegedly made about her in a viral video.
In October 2026, Van Vicker also filed a defamation suit at the Accra High Court, seeking GH¢10 million in exemplary damages. The suit followed a viral video in which LilWin allegedly questioned Van Vicker’s professionalism and claimed he could no longer participate in movie productions in Kumasi.
