Survival now a daily battle — Nedu Wazobia

Nigerian media personality, Nedu Wazobia, has lamented the worsening economic hardship in Nigeria, saying survival has become a daily struggle for many.

Speaking in a video, Nedu listed food, rent, school fees, transport, fuel and healthcare among the rising expenses putting Nigerians under serious financial pressure.

He said many workers receive their salaries only for the money to disappear almost immediately due to mounting bills.

Nedu also linked the economic pressure to some desperate decisions, saying people are increasingly forced into actions they may never have considered under different circumstances.

“People are doing things they never imagined they will do, hurting people, betraying people, cutting corners, not necessarily because they were born wicked but because survival has become a daily battle in this our country,” he said.

He stressed that Nigerians simply want an economy where hard work can provide a decent life.

“We just want an economy where working hard can actually mean something, where a parent can provide for their children without stress and where ordinary Nigerians can wake up tomorrow with little less fear and a little more hope,” he added.
