Yaa Yeboah fires back amid criticism over Stonebwoy-ShattaFest controversy

Media personality and entertainment pundit MC Yaa Yeboah has sparked fresh reactions with a strongly worded social media post that appears to be directed at critics who have questioned her comments and role in the recent controversy involving Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale and their respective teams.

In the post, Yaa Yeboah accused unnamed individuals of seeking influence by attacking and undermining others rather than building themselves through character and credibility.

“Some people don’t seek influence by building themselves — they seek it by destroying others,” she wrote.

She further alleged that such individuals “malign names, twist narratives, and manufacture lies” in an attempt to benefit from another person’s downfall.

Although Yaa Yeboah did not mention entertainment critic Arnold Asamoah-Baidoo by name, her remarks come shortly after Arnold criticised her and Stonebwoy’s Head of Public Relations, Vida Adutwumwaa Boateng, over comments and discussions surrounding Stonebwoy’s Wembley concert and the subsequent ShattaFest UK controversy.

Arnold reportedly questioned the manner in which Shatta Wale had been mocked or teased in discussions connected to Stonebwoy’s Wembley success, arguing that such comments could have contributed to the backlash surrounding the Stonebwoy camp.

The controversy gained further attention after ShattaFest UK was cancelled following a serious crowd-related incident and safety concerns at the event. Reports indicated that authorities intervened after overcrowding, with emergency services responding to the situation.

Stonebwoy subsequently expressed sympathy for those affected, saying the development was not the kind of news any artiste, organiser, promoter, fan or supporter of the Ghanaian music agenda would want to hear.

Yaa Yeboah, however, appears to have taken exception to the criticism surrounding her contribution to the debate.

“Influence built on character assassination is fragile,” she stated. “You may succeed in staining a name for a moment, but eventually, truth exposes the motive behind the smear.”

She ended the post with a blunt dismissal: “Get the fk out here .. 😤”

While she did not explicitly identify Arnold as the target of the post, the timing has led to speculation among entertainment followers that her comments may be a response to his recent criticism of her and Vida.
