Ghanaian traditional music composer and cultural performer Michael Adangba has once again earned national recognition after being unveiled as one of the composers for the official theme song of the 20th anniversary edition of TV3's Ghana's Most Beautiful (GMB).
A promotional flyer released ahead of the new season announced that Adangba will collaborate with celebrated singer Enam to produce this year's theme song, marking another milestone in his growing contribution to Ghana's cultural and entertainment landscape.
For Michael Adangba, the latest opportunity is more than just another musical project. It is a return to familiar territory, having previously composed and performed a theme song for Ghana's Most Beautiful, one of Ghana's most popular cultural reality television programmes.
His selection for the landmark 20th anniversary edition underscores the confidence organisers continue to place in his ability to blend authentic Ghanaian rhythms with messages that celebrate culture, womanhood, tradition and national identity.
Known for his mastery of indigenous sounds and traditional instrumentation, Adangba has built a reputation for producing music that promotes Ghanaian heritage. His work has consistently resonated with audiences who appreciate authentic cultural expression, making him a fitting choice for the anniversary celebration.
This year's collaboration with Enam is expected to bring together two unique musical styles, Adangba's rich traditional compositions and Enam's powerful contemporary Afro-fusion vocals to produce a theme song that reflects the significance of the programme's two decades of celebrating Ghanaian culture and beauty.
Since its launch in 2007, Ghana's Most Beautiful has evolved beyond a beauty pageant into a cultural platform that showcases the traditions, languages and tourism potential of Ghana's regions while empowering young women through education, advocacy and community development.
The 20th anniversary season is expected to feature special activities to commemorate the programme's legacy, with the official theme song anticipated to set the tone for what organisers describe as a historic edition.
