
Renowned Ghanaian radio presenter Kwame Dadzie has been officially announced as the host for the 2026 Ghana Comedy Awards.
The 6th edition of the awards is scheduled for August 1, 2026, at the College of Physicians and Surgeons, Ridge, Accra. Organised by Creative Republic Limited, the scheme celebrates excellence and outstanding contributions within Ghana’s fast‑growing comedy industry.
This year’s nominees were unveiled on Friday, July 10, 2026, across the organisation’s social media platforms, spotlighting comedians and industry players who have made remarkable impacts across various categories.
The awards feature categories such as Comedy Actor of the Year, Comedy Actress of the Year, Comic Writer of the Year, and Comic TV/Radio Programme of the Year—with notable names like Shatta Wale, Kofi Kinaata, Broda Sammy, and Prophet Kumchacha earning nominations.
The awards night will also deliver a vibrant lineup of performances from Oh Joo, Lekzy Decomic, Jeneral Ntatia, Papayaw Ataamle, Kwame Obed, Jerry Ahinyo, Ranzy Ray, Danny Beatz, Alo Wess, and Kojo P Jay.
