'You hugged me like an obsessed woman' — Stonebwoy replies Shatta Wale's 'Daddy' comment

Ghanaian reggae and dancehall artiste Stonebwoy has fired back at Shatta Wale following claims that he once looked up to him and referred to him as "Daddy."

The response comes after Shatta Wale, during a yet-to-be-aired episode of the Nigerian-based Honest Bunch Podcast, alleged that Stonebwoy used to visit him in his early days in music and called him "Daddy" before their relationship deteriorated.

In a social media post on Monday, July 27, Stonebwoy dismissed the claims and instead recalled what he described as the pair's last encounter.

"The last time you saw me, you hugged me like an obsessed woman," the post, accompanied by a picture of which shows the two hugging, read in part.

The award-winning musician followed the remark with a direct challenge to Shatta Wale, questioning why he continued to make what he described as false claims about their relationship.

"Aren't you tired of lying?" he quizzed.

The latest exchange adds to the long-running rivalry between the two dancehall stars, who have repeatedly traded jabs in interviews and on social media over the years.
