I never had issues with Delay — Ohemaa Woyeje disclose

Popular Ghanaian media personality Ohemaa Woyeje has dismissed long-standing claims that she is in a feud with celebrated broadcaster Deloris Frimpong Manso, popularly known as Delay.

Speaking in an interview with Nana Romeo on Okay FM, Ohemaa Woyeje said many people have pushed the narrative that she and Delay are enemies but there has never been any personal conflict between them.

Recounting their time together at Top Radio, Ohemaa Woyeje revealed that she was very supportive of Delay and maintained a cordial relationship with her throughout their working period. She stressed that there was no misunderstanding or bad blood between them as many have assumed over the years.

According to Ohemaa Woyeje, Delay had secretly planned to leave Top Radio and had informed the station's management about her decision. However, she said someone later informed the manager about Delay's impending exit, prompting management to begin preparations for a replacement.

She explained that after learning of Delay's departure, the station manager approached her and asked her to step in and take over the show. Ohemaa Woyeje said she accepted the challenge and eventually settled into the role successfully.

"I fitted in perfectly," she indicated, adding that listeners quickly embraced her and grew to love her style of presentation.

The broadcaster further disclosed that after taking over the programme, several prominent figures within Ghana's entertainment industry began advising her to be cautious of Delay. Despite the warnings, she maintained that she never personally had any issues with the renowned television host and entrepreneur.
