Socialite and actress, Akuapem Poloo has said she now receives more respect from the public following her decision to stop twerking on social media.
Speaking in an interview with Nana Romeo on Okay FM, she stated that her rebranded image has changed how people perceive and relate to her.
According to her, influential personalities now show interest in associating with her at events, unlike in the past.
“I get a lot more respect from people now than when I used to twerk. Even influential people want to get close to me at events,” she said.
She added that she has stopped twerking for over four years, noting that while things were favourable during that period, her priorities have since changed.
Akuapem Poloo also disclosed that she currently secures several corporate deals but has chosen not to publicise them, opting for a more private approach.
“I also get a lot of corporate deals, but I've decided not to publicise them,” she said.
She explained that although she previously signed ambassadorial deals, her focus has now shifted towards corporate engagements, which she prefers.
