Jess Brownell is the game master behind Bridgertons hateful fan wars with her anxiety laden suprises

Jess Brownell uses anxiety games for Bridgerton because she's a weak showrunner.

"Guess who?" It's so boring. Even SpongeBob had kids returning after episodes were rolled out into 22 per a season. You could click the summary for the next episode. This was the most basic kids' show. It was the same with the Tweenies and even Teletubbies.

Why are we marketing "who is next" for a show where the majority of the audience are adults? Season 4 was a success because she largely stuck to the book. Her writing skills are lackluster, like her attempts at anxiety-driven suspense to keep audiences engaged and angry. It's a feel-good show. A lot of these fan wars are caused by her. If she would just be honest, things would move smoothly.

Season 1 made it clear the Ton would feature a multiracial society in a period drama; it was accepted. If she had just made it clear Francesca would end up with Michaela, and that she wasn't attracted to John but her, before the Season 3 premiere, some would have been angry, yes—but the reception would have been better. If she had made it clear who Eloise will end up with from Season 3—like the old showrunner who let us know Anthony was next right away and that it was following the books—there would be no Eloise wars on partners and anger. Only amateur writers use hate to fuel ratings and discussions.

If we wanted mystery, we would go for Sherlock Holmes, and even there, you would know the next leads. I don't care about figuring out who is Lady Whistledown, who's next, what happens, etc. Even Harry Potter, Hunger Games, Lord of the Rings, Narnia, Marvel, X-Men, and Avatar let us know who is next and what's happening next. It's becoming irritating and annoying, quite frankly. She’s fueling the fan wars for clicks. So, what will she do after Season 5 comes out and we know Season 6's lead? I can guess: more dumb surprises.
