A young woman has spoken out about the alleged abuse she suffered at the hands of a man who impregnated her after she refused to abort the pregnancy.
She claims he pressured her to terminate the pregnancy for unclear reasons, and when she declined, his behavior towards her changed drastically.
The woman, whose viral video sparked outrage and concern online, alleges the man has withdrawn financial support for her and the unborn baby, and has refused to take responsibility. She also claims he's threatened her life, including a knife threat, and physically assaulted her multiple times during pregnancy.
In a shocking revelation, she stated that the man demanded sex in exchange for financial support for the child, requiring her to meet him at a hotel. This has sparked widespread condemnation on social media, with calls for authorities, human rights groups, and gender advocacy organizations to intervene and protect her.
Domestic abuse advocates have reiterated that such actions are serious abuse and punishable under Ghanaian law. They encourage victims to seek help from the police, DOVVSU, or trusted support organizations.
