Nigerian comedian, Klint Da Drunk, has revealed the moment he decided to stop pursuing music and focus fully on comedy.
Speaking in an interview with Naija FM Lagos, Klint explained that he was originally a musician while studying at the Institute of Management Technology (IMT), Enugu. However, his plans changed after watching 2Face Idibia perform at a campus event.
“I used to be a musician until 2Face got admitted to my school,” he said. “When he got on stage to perform, I heard him sing two lines and went home. I realised music was not for me.”
Klint said he has no regrets about the decision and is satisfied with his comedy career.
Before quitting music, he worked closely with rapper Mr Raw, featured on the hit song Obodo, and co-founded a music group that placed second in the 2002 Star Quest talent show.
Klint Da Drunk has since become a prominent figure in comedy and has appeared in several Nollywood movies, including Men On The Run, Madam 10/10, Fast Cash, and Lost Kingdom.
