
The family of actress Mercy Little Smith has announced a one-week observation following her passing on Tuesday, December 17, 2024.
The news of her death at the age of 43 was first shared on the official Facebook page of Efiewura, the popular TV series in which she starred. Mercy Little was widely celebrated for her portrayal of Benyiwaa, a beloved character that made her a household name.
Details surrounding her cause of death remain undisclosed. However, her on-screen husband and fellow Takoradi native, Kwame Dzokoto, revealed that she had been battling an undisclosed condition before her demise.
The one-week observation is scheduled for Saturday, December 28, 2024. As per Akan tradition, this gathering serves as a moment for family, friends, and loved ones to honor the deceased while organizing plans for the burial and final funeral rites.
