Lilwin's 'A Country Called Ghana' draws massive crowd at National Theatre

The National Theatre in Accra was a scene of glamour and excitement on Friday, May 17, as thousands of fans and movie enthusiasts gathered for the premiere of the highly anticipated film, A Country Called Ghana.

The movie, produced by celebrated Ghanaian actor and producer Lilwin, received an overwhelming reception from the audience.

The event was a star-studded affair, drawing notable figures from both the Ghanaian and Nigerian entertainment industries. Among the luminaries were renowned Ghanaian celebrities such as Medikal, Kalybos, Guru, and Akrobeto. Nigerian actor Victor Osuagwu, famously known as Awilo Sharp Sharp, who also featured in the movie, was in attendance, adding to the event's international flair.

The Country Called Ghana marks a significant collaboration between Ghanaian and Nigerian cinema, directed by the acclaimed Fiifi Gharbin and produced by Lilwin. The film features a stellar cast of African acting legends, including Ramsey Nouah, Charles Awurum, PAA George, Sweet Mimi, and Lilwin himself.

In addition to the impressive lineup of actors, the premiere saw appearances from other well-known personalities like Ahuofe Patri, David Osei, D Cryme, and Kofi Akpaloo, the leader of the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG).

The movie's storyline and the star power it brings have already generated considerable buzz, promising to be a major hit across both nations. Following its successful Accra debut, A Country Called Ghana is set to continue its premiere tour at the KNUST CCB Auditorium in Kumasi on May 25 and will conclude at the Eusbett Hotel in Sunyani on June 1, 2024.
