‘My 40th birthday wish is to win Ayawaso West Wougon seat come December 7’ — John Dumelo

Ghanaian actor and politician John Dumelo who is contesting for the Ayawaso West Wuogon parliamentary seat on the ticket of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has revealed his 40th birthday wish in a post on social media.

Dumelo, who celebrated his 40th birthday on Saturday, February 3, used the occasion to express gratitude for the love and support he has received over the years from family and friends.

However, more than lavish celebrations, the actor said his key wish on this milestone birthday is to win the Ayawaso West Wuogon seat in the 2024 general elections.

The actor who lost the seat to the New Patriotic Party's Lydia Alhassan in 2020, said he wants to clinch the parliamentary position for the opposition NDC in the next elections and serve his country well.

In a post on his verified social media handles, Dumelo wrote: "Usually, celebrating your 40th birthday is accompanied with huge celebrations and other “extravagant” events. Offcourse, it’s definitely a good time to celebrate 40 years of your existence.

“Life begins! Today being my 40th birthday, I want to give thanks to my God, family and friends for the love and support so far. My wish is to be a better man, serve my country and continent to the best of my abilities and to win my MPship elections in Ayawaso West constituency on the 7th of December 2024. God bless us all,” he stressed.
