In an interview with entertainment journalist Amansan Krakye on Property FM, based in Cape Coast, multiple award-winning Ghanaian rapper EL shared his thoughts on the recent trend of celebrity lookalikes.
For several months now, the media have been rife with news and conversations about people who look exactly like some musicians, including Kuami Eugene, King Promise, Medikal, Fameye, and others.
While many have condemned the trend, citing concerns of how some of these lookalikes perform at shows under the guise of the original artists, many also support it.
In the interview, EL was asked why there is still no one who looks like him.
In response, the "Koko" hitmaker said his height would make it difficult for anyone to look like him.
"As for me, I'm too tall for a lookalike because nobody is as tall as me. Unless you guys will be able to find somebody who is my height to be my lookalike,” he said.
He added in pidgin, “But I'm not sure that you guys go fit to get somebody wey tall like me to be my look-alike that is why you no still see my look-alike.”
