Kumasi-based rapper, Ypee, has boldly declared himself as the only artist who can make magic happen at shows.
He claimed he is the only artist capable of recording a show with the largest number of patrons.
Speaking on The Delay Show, the rapper boasted that he is being paid more than any other artist in Kumasi for his shows.
Ypee countered his former friend Oseikrom Sikanii's claim that he charges GHS20,000 for a single show.
Ypee claimed that a small artist like Oseikrom Sikanii, whom he referred to as his child, would never be paid such an amount by any event organizer.
"Most-feared and unprecedented musical incident in Kumasi were done by me. Filling venues and all," Ypee said, emphasizing his dominance in the music industry in Kumasi.
"Oseikrom Sikanii lied about the fact that he charges about GHS20,000. No one will give him that. I am only one who can charge that amount. Not my children which includes Oseikrom Sikanii,” he said.
Ypee also denied any involvement in online scams, popularly known as "Yahoo Yahoo," despite his apparent wealth.
Responding to a question from host Deloris Frimpong Manso, the rapper said, "I'm not a fraud guy. I'm not a Yahoo boy, but I have a Yahoo mail. I got my money genuinely from music."
In recent years, Kumasi has become a hub for Ghanaian music, with several talented artists hailing from the city.
Ypee, who burst onto the music scene in 2018 with his hit single "Meye Guy (Remix)," which featured Sarkodie and Medikal has since established himself as one of the city's most promising talents, with a string of successful singles and collaborations.
